Cashman Completes Bath Iron Works Dredging

Cashman Dredging has succesfully completed maintenance dredging for Bath Iron Works in Bath, Maine.

The sinking basin was dredged to -70 feet to enable BIW to launch new ships.

The Kennebec River has swift currents and tide variations of up to 10 feet. Because of the depth of the project and river conditions, the dredge FJ Belesimo operated on wires and anchors.

The project was completed ahead of schedule during challenging weather conditions.
