Preparations Underway for Hulhumale Reclamation Project

The second phase of the Hulhumale reclamation project will commence within the next month, the Hulhumale Development Corporation (HDC) announced.

According to Suhail Mohamed, the HDC managing director, only two companies had submitted their proposals for this project.

The proposals from these companies are being evaluated. When this concludes, the ground work of the project would be initiated within a month’s time,” stated Mohamed.

This phase of the Hulhumale project, worth about USD60 million, includes reclaiming 230 hectors of land area, reports haveeru.com.

The mentioned zone is designed to accommodate a population of 100,000 people.
