BPUB Update: Diver-Guided Dredging (VIDEO)

The Brownsville Public Utilities Board’s Resaca Restoration Project is making progress.

This project is necessary because sediment, trash and other debris has built up over the years, impeding water flow in these waterways. The only way to return the resacas to their original depth is to dredge them.

At Gladys Porter Zoo, the Brownsville Public Utilities Board needed to come up with a new solution for dredging the resaca system.

This week’s BPUB Update looks at the new tactic being used: diver-guided dredging.
