Dredging at Port Hughes Set for December

The Port Hughes Boat Ramp dredging program will be undertaken from the 8th-12th December 2014, according to coppercoast.sa.gov.au.

This work forms part of the normal maintenance program to maintain this facility in a safe and serviceable condition.

All work will be carried out within the terms and conditions of Copper Coast Council’s licence from the Environment Protection Authority and all efforts will be made to ensure little inconvenience to users.

The Port Hughes Boat Ramp is located at the township of Port Hughes, approximately 170 km north of Adelaide on the Yorke Peninsula, South Australia.

The boat harbor has also seasonally silted through sand accumulation, requiring annual dredging to facilitate ongoing boat access.
