CRPA Gets Donation from CPG

Representatives with Columbia Pipeline Group (CPG) have presented the Chenier Plain Coastal Restoration and Protection Authority (CRPA) with a $50,000 donation to help fund continued operations to protect the Southwest Louisiana coastline.

The donation was awarded on Tuesday, Feb. 24, at the group’s monthly meeting at the Southwest Louisiana Development Alliance.

Senator Blade Morrish attended the event and commended Columbia Pipeline Group for their support: “This event started with a conversation and phone call. Columbia really stepped up to the plate with the coordination of this event and this generous donation in support of such a worthwhile organization.”

The money will be used in support of the Chenier Plain CRPA’S ongoing efforts to establish, construct, operate and maintain flood control works as they relate to hurricane protection, tidewater flooding, saltwater intrusion, and wetland conservation.
