TID’s Dredging Course Nears
Less than a month is left before the beginning of the TID’s (Training Institute for Dredging) annual General Dredging Course, which starts on 14 September in Kinderdijk.
Open to managers, technical and operational staff involved in dredging operations, the two-week course covers processes, equipment selection, soil characteristics, automation and control, and project management.
Several excursions to nearby dredging projects and shipyards, specialized in the design of dredging equipment, are also included.
The course has been designed to benefit those with a technical education, but limited experience in dredging. The focus will be on the design and operation of various types of dredging equipment, and all aspects of dredging operations.
