Tampa Harbor Dredging Contract Awarded
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District has awarded a maintenance dredging contact for the Tampa harbor 43-foot, 41-foot, and 34-foot projects, Hillsborough Bay, Florida.
The $7.4 million contract was awarded to Cashman Dredging & Marine Contracting Co. LLC, Quincy, Massachusetts, on September 1st 2016.
The project is for the maintenance dredging of the federally authorized channels within Tampa Harbor and the berths of the Tampa Port Authority. This project consists of approximately 67 miles of existing channels and berthing areas.
Estimated quantity of material to be dredged is approximately 600,000 cubic yards (CY).
The estimated completion date of the contract is July 23, 2017.
