PHOTO Update of the Peterhead Harbor Project

Construction works on the Peterhead harbor redevelopment project are in full swing, according to the McLaughlin & Harvey.

The company reported that works to deepen Peterhead Harbor continue, with over 250 out of 1,000 piles already installed.

McL&H also reported that the company is utilizing an innovative approach to the works with the first use in the UK of an RD steel piling solution.

The overall project includes, strengthening and deepening of the port as well as 430,556sqft land reclamation with revetment, widening of the harbor entrance and demolition works.

The scheme, awarded last September to the joint venture partnership of Boskalis Westminster N.V. and McLaughlin & Harvey, will take approximately 18 months to complete.
