Maintenance dredging scheme on the Redwood City Harbor Channel in California will be commencing soon, the Port of Redwood City said in its latest announcement.

The Port and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, San Francisco District, will host a meeting about boating safety during the dredging project on July 26, at the Port of Redwood City Administrative Office, located at 675 Seaport Blvd., Redwood City.

R.E. Staite Engineering Inc., from San Diego, recently won the $7 million contract for this maintenance dredging project.

The base contract work consists of maintenance dredging of the channel Reaches 1 to 5B, with removal of approximately 390,400m³ of dredged material and providing a contract depth of -30ft.

Under the agreement, all dredging material transportation and material placement should be in accordance with the project plans, specifications, permits, regulatory guidance and applicable contract clauses.
