The work, to be conducted by Prock Marine Company, was originally set for February 6 through March 23.

Under the project, around 3,600 cubic yards removed from the dredge site will be hauled for disposal at the eastern passage site in Blue Hill Bay.

Prock said that the dredge will require approximately six round trips to the dump site, using dump scows towed by tugboat.

“Fishermen are advised to move gear if necessary,” the company said.

This very important dredging work will run through the end of March.
