Palm Beach Harbor dredging in full swing

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Jacksonville District, has just released the latest update on the Palm Beach Harbor Dredging and Beach Placement Project.

According to the update, the dredging program is underway with the Dredge Alaska presently working in the entrance channel and settling basin.

The dredge is projected to relocate its operations as sections are completed.

Also, the team continues onshore pipeline extension southward as beach fill operations progress.

Sand placement on the beach is expected to progress approximately 250 feet per day.

“Residents can expect lane closures at Angler and Ocean Shore every Tuesday and Friday until dredging is complete,” said USACE.
