The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District has awarded a contract to HME Construction, Inc. to perform clamshell dredging at six locations, four in Oregon and two in Washington.
The Oregon/Washington Clamshell Maintenance Dredging 2023 project includes removal of approximately 450,000 cubic yards of dredged material from the Port Orford, Winchester Bay, Depot Slough, Astoria, Baker Bay and Longview.
All material removed from the various dredging areas and reaches will be transported and placed within the government designated sites, both in Oregon and Washington.
The deadline for completion of the entire project is 31 January 2024.
