Memphis District delivers another quality project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District recently celebrated completion of another successful dredging campaign.

The $10.2 million harbor dredging project was performed by Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Company.

The contract consisted of the maintenance dredging the following locations: Elvis Stahr Harbor, Ky.; New Madrid Harbor, Mo.; Mile 889, Mo.; New Madrid County Harbor, Mo.; Caruthersville Harbor, Mo.; Northwest Tennessee Regional Harbor, Tenn.,; Wolf River Harbor, Tenn., Memphis Harbor/McKellar Lake, Tenn.; Osceola Harbor, Ark.; Helena Harbor, Ark.; and Helena Harbor Phillips County, Ark.; and points on the Mississippi River between Cape Girardeau Mo. (Mile 48 UMR) and Greenville, Miss. (Mile 537 AHP).

The total volume of material dredged during the works was 1,610,617 cubic yards.
