Dredging work in Rye Marina wraps up

The winter dredging work in Rye Marina is now complete, the City of Rye said.

According to the City, workers are now replacing the old Marina pilings and reinstalling the docks.

This is expected to be completed by mid-February.

Also, the area is now being surveyed to determine the exact amount of silt successfully removed.

The City of Rye said that the work is expected to not impact the Rye Marina’s scheduled open date of April 15.

The ambitious project tasked workers with removing up to 25,000 cubic yards of silt by the opening of boating season.
