According to the latest update, the works to replenish sand and rehabilitate the erosion site will be conducted from Monday, March 11, north of the Jetty.

The program will consist of relocating approximately 3000m3 of sand sourced from the current shore protection structure to the section of beach between Tsakisiris Street to Scott Street.

This project is funded by the Queensland Government’s QCoast2100 Coastal Hazard Adaptation Program, supporting Queensland councils to improve the long-term resilience and sustainability of coastal ecosystems, foreshores and vital assets.
