According to the City of Encinitas (CA), Stonesteps Beach access stairway has been opened to the public as well as the northern portion of the beach berm.

Most of the pipes used in the dredging effort have been exported from the construction site, and all heavy equipment has been relocated south towards Moonlight State Beach.

The city also reminded that a temporary construction closure still exists between Stonesteps Beach and south towards Moonlight State Beach.

The Encinitas Sand Replenishment Project includes the installation of 50-foot-wide beach fill along a 7,800 foot-long stretch of shoreline (from Beacon’s to Boneyards) using 340,000 cubic yards of compatible sand.
