According to Tanco, CCCC Dredging is a professional dredging, port and coastal engineering contractor that has advanced equipment and machinery, as well as extensive construction experience and sufficient resources and capacity, to implement this massive project.

CCCC Dredging chairman Liu Yongman commented, “We are pleased to partner with Tanco Holdings on this groundbreaking project. Our combined expertise and resources will pave the way for a state-of-the-art port to boost Malaysia’s maritime infrastructure and set new standards in operational efficiency and environmental sustainability. We are committed to bringing our best capabilities to this strategic initiative and look forward to a successful collaboration.”

Strategically located at the midway of the Straits of Malacca, the proposed smart AI container port will provide a natural deep water access with more than 21 meters in depth that is 1.8km from the shoreline, allowing the largest container ships globally to enter the port.

The MoU follows the joint venture agreement announced on Feb 27, 2024, between Midports and Menteri Besar Negeri Sembilan (Perbadanan) on undertaking reclamation works necessary for the project.
