Canada: Officials to Discuss Cedar Island Harbour Dredging

Officials to Discuss Cedar Island Harbour Dredging

The proposed dredging project on the Cedar Island Harbour will be the main topic of tonight’s meeting between the members of the Cedar Island Yacht Club and the Kingsville council.

The current siltation of the harbor is making difficulties for boaters to access launch ramps, docks and fuel stations, according to blackburnnews.com.

This venture should cost about $144,000 and the town’s share will be $108,000.

Cedar Island Yacht Club believes that Hotte Marine, the Windsor based dredging contractor, could complete this job before the end of December.
