China: Dongjiakou Port to Get Two Additional Terminals

Dongjiakou Port is planning to construct two additional terminals that would enable the port to handle Vale’s growing fleet of mega iron-ore carriers that account for the world’s largest dry bulk ships.

According to the plan, Dongjiakou, together with ports in Majishan and Dalian, will be able to manage the Brazilian miner’s huge dry bulk ships of up to 400,000 dwt, known as Valemaxes.

The port has undertaken testing operations at its existing terminals.
