The Port de Calais has announced tender for the quay wall construction works at the port area.

The project includes rebuilding the quay wall of terminal 7.

The contract is divided into 2 lots:

Lot 1: Civil engineering works to reinforce the groundworks and sea defences;

Lot 2: Dredging to reinforce sea defences and quay protection.

Tender details: Open procedure.

The port of Calais was originally a natural bay, at the mouth of the river Hames and the river Guînes.

As a gateway to London and the United Kingdom located on the busiest straits in the world for international shipping, the Port of Calais alone handles 1/3 of all the ro-ro traffic between continental Europe and the United Kingdom.
