France: City of Cannes Invites Bids for Replenishment Project

The City of Cannes has filed an application with the State services for replenishment services to a number of beaches by recharge of dredged sand on the beach by marine delivery to the affected areas of the south and other coastal beaches.

This consultation sets out the technical details of achievement of the following work:

Dredging of sand from underwater sites and discharge to the right of the beaches of Cannes and levelling sand in the vicinity of areas recharged.

The beaches affected by re-silting and needing maintenance are located on the coast of the city of Cannes, in the Gulf of Cannes and in the Alpes-Maritimes.

These ranges are described as follows:

Beaches of the Bocca: bounded on the west by wearing away of Béal and east by rocks of the Bocca;

Beaches of the south: bounded on the west by the rocks of the Bocca and east of the Old Port of Cannes.
