UAE: Commitment to Employees – Key to DP World’s Success

Commitment to its people and customers is at the heart of DP World’s success and part of the company’s core values, HE Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah. Vice Chairman, DP World underlined at a ceremony to honour the company’s exceptional employees.

DP World, UAE Region recently held its annual Taqdeer’ initiative event to honour a number of employees for their exceptional contribution to business excellence. Taqdeer means “appreciation” in Arabic. DP World, UAE Region launched Taqdeer in 2010 to recognise individual efforts to improve work processes, enhance efficiency, reduce costs and protect the environment.

HE Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Vice Chairman, DP World, said:

At the ceremony held in Madinat Jumeirah. Mr Bin Thaniah. Mohammed Sharaf. DP World Group CEO, and Mohammed Al Muallem. Senior Vice President and Managing Director. DP World. UAE Region, presented certificates and awards to 126 employees of DP World’s UAE Region.

This year Taqdeer was held jointly with the Leadership Development Programme (LDP), DP World. UAE Region’s partnership programme with American University of Sharjah (AUS), which provides advanced training in leadership to management executives.
