USA: Kenosha Harbor Dredging About to Begin

The work on deepening Kenosha’s harbor and marina is almost ready to begin, according to kenoshanews.com.

The Kenosha Harbor was last dredged in 2009. The silt buildup in the harbor let to the Kenosha City Council seeking a long-term solution to the buildup and a dredging of the harbor this year.

Based on the city’s budget, the harbor was scheduled to be dredged last year, but the city did not move forward with that work and the permit lapsed.

The entire dredging project should be completed by late July or early August.
