Army Corps Invites Bidders for Calcasieu River Project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans District, has announced plans for the removal and disposal of the material excavated from the Calcasieu River, between Mile 36.0 and Mile 34.2 and Mile 22.8 to Mile 17.0, including Devil’s Elbow.

Army Corps will issue solicitation for this project on or about 23 August 2012, and a bid opening date will be established in a future amendment.

The estimated value of this work is between $10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00.

The estimated time for completion is 200 calendar days, including adverse weather days for the base and option items.
