FSUE Rosmorport Sochi Branch Hosts Interdepartmental Meeting.

On August, 24 2012 an interdepartmental meeting was held in the FSUE “Rosmorport” Sochi Branch to discuss execution of the Russian legislation in the field of transportation security during the construction of the sea transport facilities in Sochi included into the Federal Program of Preparation for the 2014 Olympics and Development of Sochi as a Mountain Resort.

General Director of FSUE “Rosmorport” A.V. Lavrishchev, representatives of the Southern Transport Public Prosecution Office, Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Federal Security Service of Russia, Administration of Sochi Seaport, the Olympstroy State Corporation, and employees of the subcontractor companies, which carry out the construction, took part in the meeting.

The participants of the meeting discussed issues of implementing the planned measures for providing antiterrorist security of the port infrastructure facilities under construction, and also analyzed the results of the checks and the efficiency of the measures on providing transportation security of the Olympic facilities.

In his speech Andrey Lavrishchev mentioned, that the construction of the sea infrastructure facilities, the client constructor of which is FSUE “Rosmorport”, is executed in strict conformity with the approved schedules and contractual liabilities. The General Director underlined, that the enterprise renders an in-depth assistance to the competent regulatory and supervisory bodies in their activities on providing lawfulness during construction of the sea transport Olympic facilities in Sochi.

As a result of the meeting, its participants confirmed, that they are ready for the joint activities to observe the lawfulness during construction of the sea transport Olympic facilities in Sochi, and also, if necessary, to take prompt enforcement actions, stipulated by the Russian legislation, towards the general contractor organizations, in case they do not meet the approved construction deadlines and quality standards.
