ARMM Provides Funds for Lamitan Port Expansion (The Phillipines)

According to businessmirror.com, the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) has allocated P40 million for the Lamitan City port expansion.

Once the expansion project is completed, the port would be able to accommodate more big vessels, said Mayor Roderick Furigay.

The port expansion project is a welcome development since Lamitan City, with a bigger port, can be a major entry and exit points of goods,” stated Gov. Jum Akbar.

Akbar, Furigay and ARMM officer in charge Gov. Mujiv Hataman led the groundbreaking on Wednesday signaling the start of the port expansion project.
