Essap Prepares La República Lake Cleanup Project

According to Essap’s president Andrés Rivarola, they are working with power firm Itaipú Binacional to create a plan to clean up the waters of La República lake in Ciudad del Este, reports bnamericas.com.

He stated: “We are drawing up a dredging plan to get rid of the slurry and debris that have piled up on the floor of the lake which affect the quality of the water we treat.

The dredging works under review are expected to clean-up the slurry and debris from the lake, with total costs estimated to be about US$700,000, informs bnamericas.com.
