Nigeria: Ministry Spends Big on Dredging Projects

Godsday Orubebe, the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs announced it has expended over N6 billion on three projects in the region, reports ngrguardiannews.com.

These projects are:

– canalisation/river training of Foupolo-Bulou Ndoro creek,

– canalisation at Odoubou Ogbabagbene,

– Ogbabagbene land reclamation and shoreline protection.

The dredging project was imperative for economic empowerment of the people, social activities and to ease movement of all manner of boats at all seasons of the year, said Orubebe.
