USA: Hampton Harbor Dredging Kicks Off

Hampton Harbor Dredging Kicks Off

The dredging project at the Hampton Harbor has officially begun, reports newburyportnews.com.

This program includes dredging of around 120,000 cubic yards of sand from the bottom of Hampton Harbor.

Army Corps of Engineers officials said that, if everything goes according plan, this project should be completed by the end of the year.

The majority of the dredged sand will be placed onto Seabrook beaches.

Project manager Richard Heidebrecht stated that once the dredging project is finished, the Hampton Harbor will be 8 feet deep at low tide.
