Dredging Completed for First Phase of Pengerang Terminal

The dredging program has been completed for the first phase of the Malaysian Pengerang oil terminal, according to platts.com

The spokesman for the terminal operator said that, after the dredging work has been finished, the contractor commenced work on storage tank foundations.

This Pengerang-based terminal is being developed by a joint venture between Dutch oil and chemicals storage provider Vopak (49%) and Malaysian terminal operator Dialog (51%).

The spokesman added that the land reclamation work for the first phase of the project was finished earlier this year, and the development of the terminal’s jetty is currently underway.
