Louisville to Host 2013 Inland Waterways Conference

The 2013 Inland Waterways Conference, scheduled March 5-7 at the Hyatt Regency Louisville, is the one maritime industry conference squarely at the Inland Rivers of the United States.

Transportation commerce is a vital component of the Nation’s economic health, and river borne transportation and infrastructure underpin that health from the carriage of products and materials to the benefits of generating travel and tourism.

The 2013 Inland Waterways Conference will engage leaders from the United States Coast Guard, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration and other governmental organizations with an involvement in the maritime industry on the Inland Rivers.

In addition, the conference will involve a broad swath of key individuals from industry such as ports and marine facilities, shippers, tug, towboat and barge operators, shipyards and ship repair facilities, passenger vessel operators, marine suppliers and others with a stake in promoting and sustaining a healthy and prosperous maritime industry on the Inland Rivers.
