USA: Contractor Sought for Norfolk Dredging Project
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Mid-Atlantic is seeking eligible SMALL BUSINESS FIRMS capable of perform the following requirement:
FY 2013 Maintenance Dredging, which includes hydraulic dredging of approximately 850,000 cubic yards of mud and silt material around approximately 16 piers located at the Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, VA.
The proposed procurement will include an Option for FY 2014 Maintenance Dredging (which may be exercised anytime within 240 calendar days from award). FY 2014 maintenance Dredging is currently scheduled to be performed after 1 January 2014, which will include hydraulic dredging of approximately 390,000 cubic yards of mud and silt material, around approximately 16 piers at the Norfolk Naval Station, Norfolk, VA., and approximately 125,000 cubic yards of mud and silt material around the Naval Deperming Station, Norfolk Virginia, physically located, approximately 5 miles, down the Elizabeth River, from the Norfolk Naval Station.
