Shell Bukom SBM Dredging Underway

Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) has informed the shipping, harbour craft and pleasure craft communities in Singapore’s waters that the dredging work off Shell Bukom SBM and its vicinity will be underway until April 1, 2013.

These dredging works will be carried out by the trailer suction hopper dredger “Cornelis Zanen”. The dredger will have a circular safety working zone of 300-metre radius centred at the dredger.

Dredged materials will be transported to the designated dumping ground by the same trailer suction hopper dredger.

A safety boat will be deployed in the vicinity to warn other crafts to keep clear of the working area.
