Grogol River Dredging Kicks Off1

The Grogol River dredging project, located in South Jakarta, is currently underway, reports beritajakarta.com.

Regarding this cleanup project, Irvan Amtha, the Head of South Jakarta Water Management Public Works Sub-Department, stated: “We use amphibian excavator because the river is wide enough, together with regular excavators to transport the sedimentation and wastes onto a truck to be dumped elsewhere.

The Grogol River dredging is conducted at Jl. Margaguna and Jl. Jatayu Kebayoranlama Selatan, said Amtha, and added that this dredging program is scheduled to last two weeks, but hopefully it can be done faster.

According to beritajakarta.com, South Jakarta Water Management Public Works Sub-Department also plans to undertake dredging projects on the following rivers in its jurisdiction: Cideng River, Jelawe River, Cabang Tengah River and part of the Sekretaris River.
