Vietnam Begins Construction of Lach Huyen Terminal

The construction of deepwater Lach Huyen terminal in Haiphong will begin this month, Vietnam Prime Minister Nguyen Tam Dung announced last week.

Located 100 km northeast of Hanoi, Lach Huyen could become the largest port facility for the north of the country with a draught of 14 m, it will accommodate vessels up 100,000 dwt (8,000-9,000teu vessels) and is expected to ease port congestion in Haiphong.
