Corps to Invite Bids for Savannah and Brunswick Dredging Projects

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Savannah District, has introduced a plan for the Savannah and Brunswick entrance channels maintenance dredging program.

The dredging vessels that will be involved in this project must have the capability to dredge fine sands and silts to a depth of -48 MLLW and to transport the dredged material up to 15 miles to the dump location. The total value of this deepening contract is between $5 mln and $10 mln.

The solicitation for this project will be issued in electronic format only and is anticipated to be available on or about 29 August 2013.
