The Anastasia State Park beach renourishment project is scheduled to commence this month.
“During this time, you may see construction equipment and pipes on the beaches. This equipment is being used to pump sand onto the shore as part of a statewide shore protection project,” announced floridastateparks.org.
“In the park, this is intended to protect the dunes, which are home to the endangered Anastasia Island beach mouse.”
This renourishment project could last several months, according to floridastateparks.org.
