On November 30, CHEC signed the EPC contract for KarangTaraje Port in Jakarta.

With a contract value of some 70 million US dollars and a total construction period of 32 months, the project will be constructed by CHEC in association with CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. and CCCC Second Harbor Consultants Co., Ltd.

The project involves design of a 550-meter mound breakwater, two 10,000DWT berths and three connecting bridges, a 30,000DWT berth and a connecting bridge, and a 70,000DWT berth, as well as auxiliary facilities like the south access road and terminal yard.

The successful bidding for the project has further consolidated CHEC’s role in the Indonesian hydraulic engineering market and its leading role in the field of coastal hydraulic projects in the Indian Ocean.
