The Netherlands to Advise UK about Floods

The Netherlands to Advise UK About Floods.

A delegation from the Dutch Government Agency Rijkswaterstaat, the Dutch Union of Water Boards and Deltares visited UK yesterday.

This visit looked at ways of deploying Dutch expertise to combat the floods in England. The team of experts was appointed by Roeland Allewijn, the Rijkswaterstaat director of Flood Risk Management and Water Use.

“We have extensive experience in the Netherlands with managing flood risks,” Deltares announced. “Once we have completed our initial talks, it will be up to the British government to decide about the shape any future collaboration will take.”
