USA Hurricane Arthur Threatens Sandbridge Renourishment Project

Hurricane Arthur is threatening to harm the renourishment project done in Sandbridge.

The project saw a placement of 2 million cubic yards of sand along public beachfront from Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge to the Dam Neck Naval facility.

The renourishment project, which was completed after Hurricane Sandy, is expected to protect the beach from erosion during Hurricane Arthur.

As wvec reports, teams of engineers will be patrolling for damage and any flooding as the storm reaches Virginia Beach.
