Thailand: BMA Prepares for Flooding

Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) officials have gone down to carry out canal dredging and waste removal operations in the Buddha Monthon Sai 4 Road area.

BMA Deputy Permanent-Secretary Mr. Sanya Cheenimitr attended a campaign that focuses on cleaning up canals in order to improve their drainage capacities. The event was organized by the Thawee Watthana District Office and was attended by government officials and locals.

Some of the activities include the removal of weeds and debris, conducting water quality inspections, and pouring in liquid fertilizers to neutralize waste water.
