Right Machine for a Tight Job

In order to complete dredging operations on the Parrett and Tone rivers on time, the Environment Agency is using all equipment available for the job.

The floating plant on the picture has been used to excavate the remaining areas of the River Tone at Creeds Farm that otherwise couldn’t be reached with a traditional excavator.

So far, the Agency has removed approximately 80,000 tonnes of silt and remain on programme to complete work by the end of October.
