In order to serve markets in Central Asia and the Middle East as effectively as possible, international engineering and consultancy firm Witteveen+Bos is opening a new regional office in Dubai, UAE.
Both regions are facing major challenges in dealing with water shortages, environmental pollution, and rapid urbanization, as well as in securing energy supplies and providing an adequate transport infrastructure.
Witteveen+Bos has been undertaking projects in Central Asia and the Middle East for over fifteen years. Dubai was chosen as a location because of its status as a corporate hub, the availability of sufficient expertise and trained personnel, and the presence of partners for collaboration.
The new regional office will therefore focus initially on projects in the field of energy, water technology and the environment; ports, coastal engineering and hydraulic engineering; and the built environment.
The Dubai office will be headed by engineer Wouter Bijman.
