Hamble Dredging Begins Next Week

The Hamble Point Marina maintenance dredging operations will start during the week commencing 26 January 2015.

Depending on the weather, the expected completion date for these works is 13 February 2015.

The dredger will then return to the Royal Southern Yacht Club to complete the dredging in this area.

The estimated completion date for this phase of dredging program is 27 February 2015.

All vessels involved will display the appropriate lights and shapes as required by the International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea.

River users are advised to navigate with caution in the vicinity of the involved vessels, particularly large spoil barges constrained by their draught.
