More Equipment for New Bronka Port

Three more rubber tyred gantry crane (RTG crane) have been delivered to Bronka Port (MMPK Bronka) by the heavy load carrier M/V Meri.

According to the project investor Phoenix LLC, the cranes were delivered from port Hanko and unloaded at Bronka’s berth No. 3. Unloading of the Konecranes-built cranes which have a lifting capacity of 50t lasted for nine hours.

The Marine Multipurpose Complex Bronka (MMPK Bronka) is being built on the southern shore of the Gulf of Finland. The Complex will comprise of three specialized facilities: a container terminal encompassing 107 hectares, the Ro-Ro terminal of 57 ha and a logistics center of 42 ha.

Boskalis is putting finishing touches to the EUR 130 million contract for dredging and construction of the Bronka Port shipping channel in St Petersburg. The project involves the construction of a six kilometer long and 14.4m deep shipping channel, turning basin and berth pockets for the new port facility.

The launch of MMPK Bronka operations is scheduled for September 2015.
