The contract for the construction of the new terminal was signed earlier in October by CCCC Third Harbor Engineering Co.

Located on the south bank of the Yangtze River in Taicang, Jiangsu Province, the project involves construction of one 50,000t terminal berth with a length of 361 meters. The construction period for the project is 540 days.

When finished, the new terminal at Taicang Port, one of the fastest growing ports in China, will have annual capacity of 1.31 million tons.
