The Myanmar-Netherlands Water Challenge 2016 is now officially launched, announced Deltares today.
The challenge is an exciting program in which university students are invited to investigate key water problems in their own country and cooperate with professionals experts to develop their own ideas and solutions.
The program specifically appeals to the interests, skills and capabilities of young people and challenges them to apply their own original and independent thinking.
Under the theme SMART DELTA, the program in 2016 will engage students in Myanmar with the challenges of sustainable delta development. Students will be encouraged to develop ideas and solutions for the Ayeyarwady Delta, supported by professional experts from the Dutch partners.
Lead partners of the challenge are four world-leading companies from the Netherlands: Arcadis, Van Oord, Royal HaskoningDHV and Deltares.
