Central Dredging Association (CEDA), together with the Portuguese Engineers Association (OE), today opened the Iberian Dredging Conference in Lisbon.
The conference was opened by Stefan Aarninkhof, Professor of Coastal Engineering at Delft University of Technology.
The central theme of the CEDA Iberian Conference will be ‘Dredging for sustainable port development’.
With high-profile speakers from nine different countries, the conference will reflect current thinking on the implementation of sustainability ambitions in the field of port development. The conference will also address key topics relevant to the success of local port dredging and sediment management projects.
Also, as part of their commitment to attracting and keeping young engineers in the dredging industry, delegates will get to hear from young professionals in the Young CEDA Pitch Talk session.
This one-and-a-half-day conference is taking place at the OE premises in the center of Lisbon.
