‘Waterways, Wetlands and You!’ in Houghton and Traverse City

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, will host two informational outreach events entitled “Waterways, Wetlands and You!” about the Corps’ Regulatory Program.

“These events, facilitated by the Corps’ Regulatory staff, will provide an overview of the Corps’ Regulatory Program and give the public an opportunity to ask questions directly to the team members that review permit applications and enforce permit laws and regulations,” USACE said in its release.

These forums will also provide an opportunity to interact with Regulatory Project Managers to discuss working in regulated waterways, wetlands and along shorelines; when a permit is required from the Corps; and the information needed to apply for a permit.

The forums will be held at the following locations:

  • Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 1:00 p.m. Portage Lake District Library, Houghton, MI;
  • Thursday, June 22, 2017, 9:00 a.m. Grand Traverse County Governmental Center, Traverse City, MI.
