Hanimaadhoo work progresses according to plan

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company Plc (MTCC) has just released the latest update on their Hanimaadhoo development program.

According to MTCC, work on Hdh. Hanimaadhoo Harbor is well underway, with overall 30% project progress so far.

New Harbor basin dredging works and maintenance dredging operations are currently ongoing, with 68% and 90% completion respectively.

The Hdh. Hanimaadhoo Harbor project includes:

• new harbor basin – dredging of 53,522.50cbm;

• harbor entrance channel – dredging of 31,575.50cbm;

• construction of a 355m breakwater;

• a 50m revetment;

• a 270m quay wall and installation of 2,583sqm of paved area.

The total cost of the project is MVR 57.1 million ($3.7 million).
